Porcelain Veneers & Crowns

Chipped, discolored, yellowed, gapped, short, small, misshapen and even mildly crooked teeth can be corrected quickly with porcelain veneers or crowns. We generally use crowns when the teeth need reinforcing as well as cosmetic improvement. Porcelain veneers require less tooth preparation than crowns and are used when the teeth are in good condition but need a change of shape, size or color.

Dental Bonding and Tooth-Colored Fillings

Dental bonding is a tooth-colored plastic resin used to make minor cosmetic changes or repairs to teeth when they are chipped or worn. The doctors may also recommend dental bonding to close a space between teeth. Dental bonding can be a fast and economical alternative to crowns or veneers, although it is not as natural-looking or durable.

The same material that is used in dental bonding is also used to provide metal-free tooth-colored fillings. Tooth-colored fillings are not only more aesthetic, but they are generally healthier and more durable than metal fillings. We can safely remove your old amalgam filings and replace them with tooth-colored ones.

How Veneers Can Improve a Smile

Veneers can correct a wide range of cosmetic issues. With veneers, yellowed or discolored teeth can be corrected to give you a bright, white smile. Chipped teeth and slightly crooked or gapped teeth can be fixed without having to undergo orthodontic treatment. Irregularly shaped, small, uneven or worn-down teeth can be fixed quickly and easily using veneers.

A Conservative Solution with Highly Aesthetic Results

Most veneers require the removal of a little bit of tooth enamel so they can be applied. This creates a roughened surface which allows the dental cement that bonds the veneer to the tooth to properly adhere. It also removes some of the volume of the tooth, so that the teeth don’t look too bulky after the veneers have been placed. The doctors design their veneers so that they only need a minimal amount of tooth preparation; they maintain as much natural tooth structure as possible.

We use the highest-quality material so the result looks natural and mimics the transparency and light-reflecting qualities of real tooth enamel. After veneers treatment, people often can't even tell that our patients have had any work done.
