Dental Bonding and Tooth-Colored Fillings

Dental bonding is a tooth-colored plastic resin used to make minor cosmetic changes or repairs to teeth when they are chipped or worn. The doctors may also recommend dental bonding to close a space between teeth. Dental bonding can be a fast and economical alternative to crowns or veneers, although it is not as natural-looking or durable.

The same material that is used in dental bonding is also used to provide metal-free tooth-colored fillings. We can safely remove your old amalgam filings and replace them with tooth-colored ones.

Tooth Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and Onlays refer to lab fabricated restorations that are designed to replace a portion of a missing tooth. They can be thought of the more conservative alternative to full coverage crowns when indicated.

As the names imply, an onlay replaces tooth structure inside of existing tooth cusps whereas onlays replace entire cusps altogether. 

They are typically fabricated digitally from porcelain and can be permanently bonded to existing tooth structure making these the ultimate choice for durable, long-lasting, conservative, and the most esthetic alternative to composite bonding.

Porcelain Crowns

Our crowns are strong and durable, and in most cases we make our crowns entirely out of porcelain for superior aesthetics and biocompatibility.

When preparing for your crown, we use a digital scanner for greater accuracy, efficiency and comfort. This scanner has a shade-matching tool to ensure a good color match with your other teeth.

For the manufacturing of your crown, we use a high-quality lab so that it fits precisely and results in a comfortable bite. We make final adjustments to the crown until you are completely satisfied with both the way it looks and feels in your mouth.

Root Canal Treatment

We make sure that root canals are done quickly, efficiently and painlessly, and we use diagnostic tools—including 3D X-rays as needed— to ensure thorough treatment.

Tooth & Wisdom Tooth Extractions

Our doctors are experienced in performing gentle tooth extractions. They perform "socket preservation" after extractions, adding bone graft material to help maintain the integrity of the socket. Additionally, we use a dental laser and special proteins to enhance healing.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth. We use zirconia—a very hard and durable ceramic—layered with translucent porcelain for a natural look. Dental Implants Vs. Dentures

Dentures are a relatively inexpensive form of tooth replacement, but they come at a great cost to comfort, chewing power and appearance. Implants have these advantages over dentures:

• Preventing progressive jawbone loss: Dentures irritate the underlying jawbone, causing the bone to diminish. This causes constant loosening of the dentures, resulting in sores and making chewing painful.
• Don’t cause the appearance of premature aging: The continuous loss of bone eventually give the face a "collapsed" appearance. As shown above, this causes the chin to move toward the nose, the lips to become thinner and the cheeks to sink inwards, creating wrinkles and folds.
• A better dietary variety means you may live longer and can enjoy your food more: The chewing power of dentures can be as low as 10 percent of normal chewing power. This restricts denture wearers’ diets and prevents them from eating healthy foods that they need for propert nutrition, as well as the foods they love.
• Increased quality of life: Dentures have a top palate and large sides; the top palate can affect the sense of taste. Dentures require messy adhesive but can slip in any case, and they have to be taken out at night. People often feel that their quality of life is reduced as a result. Dental implants restore your mouth as closely as possible to its natural state.
• Can smile with confidence: Dentures can slip and are generally less aesthetic than implant-supported teeth.

Bone Grafting

When needed, we use bone grafting to restore lost bone so that dental implants can be stably placed.

HIGH-TECH DIAGNOSIS

Dr. Chad does extensive tests to determine where the TMD symptoms are coming from. To analyze the jaw joint, bite and surrounding muscles, he uses 3D X-rays, a joint vibration analysis system, a muscle exam and a computerized device called a T-Scan that measures bite force and how the teeth come together when you bite down. From the results he is able to determine the exact cause of your TMD.

Splint / Night Guard / Sleep Apnea

Splints, Night Guards and Sleep Apnea Appliances are devices that are custom designed to treat a variety of problems including TMJ disorders, bruxism (teeth grinding), snoring and even sleep apnea. All of our appliances are precision fit using digital scanning technology.

The type of appliance that works for you is highly dependent on your diagnosis and your unique situation.

Botox®

As a complement to cosmetic dental treatment, we can use Botox to smooth wrinkles around your mouth. We also use Botox to relax painful jaw muscles as part of TMJ (jaw joint) therapy.

Joint Vibration Analysis (JVA)

Joint Vibration Analysis (JVA) of the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) is a non-invasive diagnostic exam that electronically records sounds, or more accurately, vibrations that occur in the joint during motion. Using vibration transducers, called accelerometers, a characteristic wave pattern is generated for various joint conditions. These vibrations happen while the joint is in motion and the results are combined with a clinical exam and imaging to more accurately diagnose TMJ disorders.

MLS Laser Therapy

Struggling with TMJ or dental pain? Our innovative and patented FDA-cleared Multiwave Locked System (MLS) Therapy Laser produces an efficient and simultaneous effect on pain, inflammation, and edema, exceeding the limits of traditional LLLT (low power) and concerns of HP (high power) laser therapy. MLS technology provides two therapeutic wavelengths, 808nm (anti-edemic and anti-inflammatory) and 905nm (analgesic).
